Maybe its time to join the Modified Motorcycle Association which fights for those freedoms. MMA is like the NRA which advises politicians on policy and behaviour
And you don't have to be a biker to join. It is time to sign-up and stand up.
Act now or you might not be able to wear a patch. More than 3 patch holders could be classified as a gang.

May 14th is motorcycle awareness day
May 14th, 2009 is the first official National Motorcycle Awareness day.
The MRF has secured motorcycle parking on the United States Capitol
grounds from 10am-2pm. Due to space restraints and security concerns by
the administration of the House of Representatives; we may be forced to
limit the number of motorcycles that we can bring onto the grounds. So
please let us know as soon as possible if you plan to ride your motorcycle
to this historic event.

New CHP Policy Means A Big Win For Riders
The CHP has lost alot of ground in the helmet law fight as a result of the B.O.L.T. law suit against them last year. The CHP settled out of court with us during the Appeals Process. This agreement was finalized on February 2, 2009.
Enforcement Policy now instructs officers NOT to ticket anyone for "beanie" helmets.

Helmet law setback
A federal judge declared the helmet law unconstitutional in a Santa Cruz man's case with many helmet violations, stay tuned....
Well a lawsuit was filed 11/10/2006 to block CHP enforcement of the helmet law. For more information check out the B.O.L.T web sites under communcation links.

The governor signed the "gang bill" SB 1222. Good news is that it is pretty vague for such a terrible bill.

NY DMV Commissioner Calls Out Inattentive Drivers! It's a new public service announcement which should help motorcyclists be seen. Newly appointed New York DMV Commissioner Nancy Naples appears on the sidewalk after a nasty, and quite graphic, car/motorcycle ROW violation, telling viewers, "Motorcycle accidents aren't accidents at all, too many are crashes caused by inattentive drivers who just pull into oncoming traffic with little more than a glance. I'm DMV Commissioner Nancy Naples, asking you to please watch for motorcycles."
